Meet the Cast
Bard Soup is an actual-play Dungeons and Dragons podcast
Led by our fearless Dungeon Master Zach Meikle, who’s joined by his sister and social media mogul Shannon Meikle, cinematic genius and universally-agreed-upon reallycoolguy Jordan Johnsen, and beloved Prima Zhao, who has magic art-making hands.

Since launching our show in January of 2024, we’ve created a catalog of main-campaign episodes played in the Dungeons and Dragons Fifth Edition system, as well as side stories and oneshots in other systems. Jump in by listening to the first episode in any of our arcs.
Zach Meikle (he/him)
Zach Meikle is a filmmaker and writer, known for award winning short films ‘Last Chance Casino’ and ‘Francine.’ He’s also a Co-Founder of SuperGood Productions. In addition to playing every rat, giant, and cuckold of Erdiniin, he also edits the show! Which is extra impressive considering this guy went to law school and not DnDpodcasteditingschool (he couldn’t afford the tuition).
Prima Zhao (she/they)
Prima Zhao is an artist whose unique illustrative style has been described as “holy shit dude you drew this?” and “oh my god that’s amazing.” Prima plays Clay Campbell on Bard Soup, and in addition to supplying a large portion of the show’s sincerity, they also draw all of the show’s best art! Jordan Johnsen (he/him)
Jordan Johnsen is a creative director, a decorated filmmaker and writer, and Co-Founder of SuperGood Productions. Jordan has also been described as “just a really, really cool guy,” which translates 1:1 over to his character Glimki Treefellow on Bard Soup. Shannon Meikle (she/her)
Shannon Meikle is a writer and comedian/regular person (depending on if you find her funny). In addition to playing Faunalyn Vaydark, she also runs the show’s social media and made this accursed site! Her dump stat must be CON, because squarespace’s CSS editor almost broke her will to live! She put all her points into WIS, which is why she’s never done web design before.
